Please submit your resume and application to Roslyn City Hall. This exciting opportunity to become a Public Works Crew Member will be filled with many challenges and rewards. As is common in most small city governments, you will be required to “wear many hats” and you will have many responsibilities. The Crewmember position performs a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks within the City’s streets, roads, storm water facilities, parks, and includes Roslyn’s Water & Sewer Treatment and Distribution system. This position must hold or the ability to obtain and retain water certification within the first 6 months of employment. Some computer skills are required. This person must be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment and obtain a valid drivers license. Because of the small size of the city staff, each staff member is expected to perform a wide range of field duties as may be required from time to time. This position includes possible evening, night and weekend work if required, as well as call-out services as directed. We are looking for a hard-working individual who can work independently, is willing to learn a variety of tasks, who will work safely and who is dependable. • Fulltime position with Benefits. • Starting Wage is based on experience and certifications. Primary responsibility is to plan, direct, and supervise all aspects of Roslyn’s Public Works Department. This includes the Water and Sewer division, the Facilities, Operations and Safety division. The Director of Public Works has many responsibilities resulting in challenges along with rewards. This full-time position will be primarily Monday through Friday but, may at times require work at night, on weekends, holidays and may require weeks beyond 40 hours.
