| CREATING AN ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICER ELIGIBILITY LIST Date Open: June 4, 2026 - June 22, 2026 Salary Starting: $6,556/Mo. + Benefits/ Incentives Primary Duties: Maintain public peace and order. Provide public protection to ensure safety and security of individuals and property * Prevent crime * Conduct criminal investigations * Collect related evidence * Interview victims, witnesses and suspects* Testify in court * Respond to calls for service. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 21 years of age * High School Diploma or GED * Valid WA Driver’s License * United States Citizen * No felony convictions * Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently * Must be willing to work various shifts to include nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call as required * Must have excellent communication skills and ability to make decisions during stressful situations * Must successfully obtain a Washington State Criminal Justice Training Academy certificate within six months from hire date. Testing Procedure: The testing procedure will consist of an Oral Board, Psychological test, Polygraph test, Physical examination with drug screen, Extensive background check, and Chief’s interview.
