Primary Duties: • Maintain public peace and order. • Provide public protection to ensure safety and security of individuals and property. • Prevent crime. • Conduct criminal investigations, collect related evidence, interview victims, witnesses, and suspects, and testify in court. Respond to calls for service.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 21 years of age. • High School Diploma or GED. • Valid WA Driver’s License. • United States Citizen. • No felony convictions. • Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently. • Must be willing to work various shifts to include nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call as required. • Must have excellent communications skills and ability to make decisions during stressful situations. • Must possess or successfully obtain a Washington State Criminal Justice Training Academy certification within six months from hire date, or successfully pass the equivalency test.
Testing Procedure: The testing procedure will consist of an Oral Board (tentatively scheduled for the week of Nov 17 -21, 2025) Psychological test, Polygraph test, Physical examination with drug screen, Extensive background check, and Chief’s interview.
